Pablo MuradMy tacky themes in a repo. 41 of them, plain HTML and CSS, based on real websites from 2002 to 2009: studio portfolios, splash pages, agencies that shipped one screen and called it a site.
Most of those sites are gone now. I love this stuff, the grey backgrounds, the 11px type, a photo sitting where a hero section would go today, so I wanted it somewhere people can use it.
Something I keep forgetting to mention: theraven.my answers curl.
curl theraven.my
You get the square drawn in braille, the newest posts and the command to open each one. Every house has its own drawing too, so curl theraven.my/pablo shows mine.
Posts wrap at 72 columns, and links wait at the bottom with numbers, like in Lynx. Add ?plain if your terminal doesn't like colors.
Moving in still takes one email.
A small map of the things I keep building: https://sussurra.me/
sussurra is Portuguese for "it whispers". It's one HTML file I edit by hand, with no tracking and no search box. You click around and get a little lost.
64 projects so far: a BBS you reach over SSH, a MUD that only answers on telnet, a photolog that wrecks every photo on upload, a radio of Myspace songs nobody remembers, chess with emoji pieces.
If you keep a page like this, send me the link.
indiecheck just got an update.
Point it at a page and it lists the microformats, rel=me links, IndieWeb endpoints and meta tags it finds, then tells you what to fix, with the HTML to fix it.
New: robots.txt and sitemap checks, https and canonical-host checks, fixes written for WordPress, Hugo and Eleventy, a Markdown report, and fail=errors for CI.
I hoard tiled backgrounds from the old web, so I put the pile online: 13,807 tiles on eight shelves, from Dusk Cabinet to Ember Script.
Click a tile and the page wears it. Save the ones you like and use them on your own site.
A pile, not a museum. No guestbook.

Christmas is slowly making its way to São Lourenço.
The old Balneário is already dressed in lights, and the town is starting to feel a little more magical after dark.
A quiet evening in the south of Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Meet Saturno, my little black hole of fur and affection.
She doesn't need to rule the universe. She's already in charge of this house.
I'm 38, made of dreams and blood, and from South America.
