I spent the afternoon going through my photo archive, and was surprised to find nearly 150,000 photos in Lightroom. I photograph just about everything, as much as I possibly can, and I've been doing it since 2008, back when I was still living in Moscow.

I learned to love photography, colors, and light thanks to my ex-fiancée, Kate. She had an incredible eye for detail and a natural gift for the arts. Me? I was practically an orangutan.

Anyway, I deleted around 20,000 photos today, and realized that going through old memories might not be as pleasant as it sounds. I saw so many people who are no longer part of my life, and others who are no longer in this world.

That's a lot of memories. 120,000 of them.

Maybe I should just delete everything.
